New Eagle Scouts shine for area

Be prepared Lincoln Parish, we have reason to celebrate.
That’s because on their honor, they do their best for God and country, and Lincoln Parish, too.
Three of our parish’s young men were honored earlier this month as the Louisiana Purchase Council of the Boy Scouts of America honored the 39 members of the 2012 Class of Eagle Scouts at its Council Banquet.
Joshua Jeremy Cook of Troop 35 in Ruston, Asen Tyler Poole from Choudrant and a member of Troop 45 in Ruston and Logan Parker Young of Troop 59 in Ruston all were recognized for achieving the rank of Eagle Scout.

“Okay, when you die, where do you not wish to end up?”
“Hell?”

Bulldogs open WAC baseball play at home

Now is the time that Louisiana Tech University’s baseball team would prefer to go on a winning streak.
