Sen. Vitter visits Choudrant

There was standing room only Wednesday afternoon as U.S. Sen. David Vitter (R-La.) hosted a town hall meeting in Choudrant’s Village Hall for the general public to attend.
Of several controversial topics discussed, Vitter addressed immigration, the federal debt, the Second Amendment, energy policy and his work in the Senate.

Brennan donates to DART

Steve Brennan of Brennan Dodge presents a check to DART Community Advocate, Terrie Queen Autrey. Brennan Dodge is sponsoring a fundraising concert at the Dixie Center on May 11. “From Us To You”, an acclaimed Beatles tribute band, will perform Beatles’ hits all evening, with an auction at intermission. Weyerhaeuser holds diaper drive

Weyerhaeuser recently held “Operation Diaper Drive” in which Arcadia 058 associates collected a total of 11,123 diapers of all sizes and donated them to two local nonprofit organizations, Life Choices of North Central Louisiana and Christian Community Action. Weyerhaeuser’s cellulose fibers business uses a renewable resource to producebiodegradable fluff pulp that is used in many of the diapers sold today.
