Moore to direct Bulldogs’ offensive line

Louisiana Tech University head football coach Skip Holtz has announced that Matt Moore has joined the staff as the offensive line coach.
Moore comes to Tech after spending a year at Middle Tennessee State, where the Blue Raiders went 8-4 and upset Atlantic Coast Conference Coastal Division champion Georgia Tech. He brings a wealth of experience in the spread offense philosophy as he has coached it his entire career.

Young Willis catches big bass

Six-year-old Miles Willis is proud of the big bass he caught on Toledo Bend recently. He was fishing off of a pier during a family reunion when the big bass bit. Miles is the son of Matt (shown with Miles) and Jennifer Willis of Dubach.

Bunn joins RE/MAX Realty

Pamela Bunn is one of the newest members of RE/MAX Results Realty real estate firm in Ruston. She has been in the real estate business since 1997 and in 1998, she was “Rookie of the Year” in East Metro in Rockdale County.
Bunn has been a part of the RE/MAX team since 1999. While working for RE/MAX she received the Executive Award, President’s Award, 100% Club Award and Hall of Fame Award. She has also served as an officer on the East Metro Board of Realtors.

Green wins agricultural award

Three awards for outstanding achievement in agriculture were presented this month at the North Louisiana Agri-Business Council annual Awards and Legislative Appreciation Luncheon. The event was held at the West Monroe Convention Center.
Those honored were Adam Faulk from Franklin Parish, recipient of the 2012 Young Producer Award; Harper Armstrong from Morehouse Parish, recipient of the 2012 Outstanding Agricultural Producer award; and William H. Green, D.V.M. of Lincoln Parish, winner of the 2012 Distinguished Service to North Louisiana Agriculture Award.

Quota gives to speech department

Pictured above are two Quota International of Ruston members delivering a check for $1,173 to Melinda Bryan, assistant professor in the Louisiana Tech University Department of Speech. The check is for the purchase of an FM system for an elementary school student with hearing problems. This system will enable the student and the teacher to communicate easily with each other in the standard classroom setting. Quota members are left, Mary Kilpatrick and right, Claire Givens.
