Tech, GSU momentum stalled

The Bulldogs (2-6, 1-3), a thorough 48-35 winner at home over Utah State two weekends ago, was smacked 44-10 by San Jose State in their latest Western Athletic Conference meeting.
It was a thorough pounding applied by the improved Spartans, who totaled 476 rushng yards and another 168 through the air, plus enjoyed a 23-3 lead at halftime.
“It was disappointing,” summed up Tech head coach Jack Bicknell. “And surprising. They’re a good team, but we made them look very good. It was very disappointing that we weren’t able to do better.”

They take the stray back to the shelter, nurture the animal and show the soon-to-be pet all the love it has not had in the past.

Get ready for a gender takeover

Rumor has it that Hillary Clinton will run in 2008, making her (if she wins) the first woman — and first spouse of a former president — to lead the United States.
As our world moves toward a global community, change is inevitable with our values, with our technology — and with our power.
Now, here’s another question: If women are about to take over the world, is this a good thing?

Pumpkins to light up the night

Havis said the event will have a carving contest, lighting of the pumpkins and trick-or-treating for those attending the glow.
“(Participants in the carving contest) will bring a carved pumpkin with a candle in it, and we’re going to line them up around the circle at Choudrant High School,” Havis said. “What we’ll do at dark is light them.”
