Techsters can wrap up regular season WAC title

The top 25 (No. 18, USA Today/ESPN; No. 19, Associated Press) nationally ranked club that has won 20 or more games for the past 13 years will seek an outright Western Athletic Conference title on Saturday night.
Tech (22-4, 14-1) already has a share of its fifth consecutive crown in the league, but can make it one of sole ownership with a decision over Hawaii (18-8, 9-6) in the 7 p.m. tipoff time.
All high school students and younger will be admitted for a special promotional price of $2 for the game, which is being held in the midst of quarter and Mardi Gras break by Tech.

It only takes 4 pints of waste oil to contaminate 1 million gallons of ground water. Doesn’t that just scare you to death? Let that sink in — only 4 pints of waste oil to contaminate 1 million gallons of ground water.

One transported to LGH following wreck on I-20

Dyane E. Williams, a Ruston resident, was driving her 2004 red Dodge pick up truck when she lost control of the vehicle and hit an 18-wheeler.
“They said the lady (Williams) was traveling eastbound on I-20 in the speeding lane,” said Officer Aundrea Livingston of the Grambling Police Department. “She lost control and ran across the median and hit the 18-wheeler that was traveling westbound.”
Arthur Benjamin of Fort Worth, Texas, was the driver of the other vehicle, which was a Dart Transit Company truck. He was uninjured in the accident.
