Wooldridge has new role

The last time the Oklahoma City native was at Texas State, it was operating under a completely different name (formerly Southwest Texas State) and he was the head coach for men’s basketball.
“I throughly enjoyed my experience here back in the 1990’s,” Wooldridge told The Daily Leader during a Thursday interview from Florida, where he and wife Ann were vacationing. “I felt like I connected to the people here and vice-versa, so it’s good to be back and working for such a great university.

Cutting edge is everywhere

Zalesch is specializing in areas which are not overcrowded. He utilizes ebay and often gets catalogs he wants for a dollar or two. If he is overbid, then he waits for that particular catalog to come around again, and if he really wants it, then he gets it then.
Zalesch has already prepared a number of papers and articles which have been widely published. But there are also reviews of the exhibit available for visitors.

Honoring ‘the real Mr. Best’

As I prepare to attend such events in the future without the presence of Ruston’s “Goodwill Ambassador,” let me dispense with some of the tales that surround the generosity of Bill Best. Almost all of these have some element of Kentucky Fried Chicken in them. This information is correct during the years he owned the Kentucky Fried Chicken Franchise and after. But he was joined in his humanitarianism by his wife whose homemade muffins never took second place to any fried chicken at any time during their long lasting marriage.

High winds down trees, spark fires

Entergy spokesman Jim Pesnell said about 10,000 customers lost power across north Louisiana.
“As of this morning, there are still about 1,500 customers without power in this area,” Pesnell said.
Pesnell said most everyone should have power restored by the end of today.
“The problem is that most are individual outages so it takes a while to get to everyone,” Pesnell said. “Customers who have not reported their outage should call 1-800-9OUTAGE.”
