Bulldogs’ win streak now at nine

Defense, more than offense, won this one for head coach Wade Simoneaux’s hot club which will host the Colonels (0-5) again today at 3 p.m.

Aillet said the water main that broke is probably between 50 and 60 years old.
“The main broke (beneath concrete), and the water caused the road surface to move, making an asphalt bubble,” Aillet said. “One of James Davison’s trucks ran over it, and when it burst, the asphalt ruptured, damaging the truck.”
The ruptured water main caused the asphalt road to “lift” off of the concrete base beneath, Aillet said.
When the transport truck traveled over the lifted surface at about 3:30 p.m., Sunday, it caused the road to pop like a balloon and sent pieces of asphalt under the truck.
