Combs, White to exchange vows

Mr. and Mrs. Rick Combs, of Baton Rouge, are pleased to announce the engagement and approaching wedding of their daughter Erica Leigh Combs to Kyle Daniel White, of Ruston.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Stella Fritcher and the late Martin N. Fritcher, of Baton Rouge, and Virginia Combs Davis and the late Frank Combs, of Ironton, Ohio.

Erica is a graduate of St. Joseph’s Academy and Louisiana State University School of Dentistry. She is employed as a dental hygienist with Randy Gauthreaux in Lafayette.

Ruston High School seniors scratched their heads and whipped out their calculators to consider how far they could stretch the dollars they made being financial specialists, television journalists, fast food workers or any number of other professions.
But, it wasn’t a career fair that filled the Civic Center with salary-conscious students; instead it was the first ever United Way Dollars and Sense Reality Fair.

LPFD: Fire damage estimated at $150K

in

The Lincoln Parish Fire Department responded to a structure fire on Beacon Light Road at 8:28 a.m. Wednesday. The first unit on the scene reportedly found a 2,400 square foot metal building totally engulfed in flames.
According to reports from the LPFD, the building was a privately owned mechanics‐type workshop located behind a residence.
