RPAR to host K-9 Pool Party Saturday

2 DOGS.jpg

After a Grand Opening, three sessions of swimming lessons, Aqua Zumba classes and nine weeks of frolicking in our basin, the 480,000 gallon Municipal Pool on Georgia Avenue closed on July 26 to the general public.
However, the City of Ruston Parks and Recreation Department will be opening our hearts and pool to the canine citizens of Lincoln Parish. From 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, and 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday, the pool is going to go to the dogs and will become the coolest place to be in the city for hot hounds. That’s right, dogs and puppies of all sizes are welcome to show off their best doggie paddling skills at the K-9 Pool Party. Splashing will be encouraged, but aggressive dogs are not welcome. All dogs are expected to have a paws-a-tively good time.
