Keeping the child inside alive

While watching my 16-month old grandson walk around, aimlessly, in our yard, I was reminded of a passage from the fantasy novel, “The Name of the Wind.”
“When we are children, we seldom think of the future. This innocence leaves us free to enjoy ourselves as few adults can. The day we fret about the future is the day we leave our childhood behind.”
I can totally assure you there was no worry on the mind of this young explorer. Like a sawed-off Christopher Columbus or Ferdinand Magellan on choppy, wobbly legs, he was sailing across the ocean blue.

Is reality TV actually realistic?

At 19-years-old, I’m a sophomore double major participating in different organizations on campus, working a part-time job and managing my responsibilities.
In the midst of the craziness that is the life of a college student, I could not imagine having to be a parent too. Not just being a college student, but being a teenager in general, there is no time, or want for that matter, to be a parent right now.
According to an article on TeenHelp, 820,000 teens become pregnant each year, which means 34 percent of teens become pregnant before they turn 20.

Arbin Geraldine Cottingham

On March 24, 2013, Arbin Geraldine Cottingham, 79, ended her earthy journey. Geraldine was born on January 20, 1934 in Arcadia, Louisiana to the late Malcolm Baker, Sr. and Verline Rushing. She was preceded in death by her brother, Malcolm Baker, Jr.(Melba Doris).

Geraldine graduated from Arcadia High School. She later moved to Jonesboro, Louisiana and wed Felton Cottonham in 1954. Unto this union, six children were born-Cass Cottingham(Loice), Bernadine Player(Michael-deceased), Ronald Cottonham-deceased(Diana), Shirley Davis, Angela Tademy(Richard), and Lisa Livingston(Roderick).
