Fuller, Blackwell join in holy matrimony

Lauren Fuller, of Ruston, and Logan Blackwell, of Arcadia, joined in holy matrimony during a 6 p.m. ceremony May 31 at Temple Baptist Church.

The bride is the daughter of Donna and Richard Hood, of Ruston, and Kenneth and Jennifer Fuller, of Monroe. She is the granddaughter of Ben and Marilyn Gullatt, of Ruston, and Charles and Larnell Fuller, of Ruston.

The groom is the son of Jody and Janet Blackwell, of Arcadia. He is the grandson of Patsy Adams, of Arcadia, the late Roy “Happy” Adams, Dee Camp, of Homer, and Wayne and Dena Blackwell, of Athens.

RESOLUTION REGARDING USE OF CITY OF RUSTON SECTION 8 HOUSING CHOICE VOUCHER PROGRAM ADMINISTRATIVE RESERVES FOR HOUSING ASSISTANCE PAYMENTS
WHEREAS, the City of Ruston (“City”) Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Program (the “Program”) is currently experiencing a short-term financial shortfall, in that monthly housing assistance payments (“HAP”) are exceeding monthly HAP revenues from the Department of Housing and Urban Development (“HUD”); and,
WHEREAS, the Program has administrative reserves in excess of $500,000; and,

WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission held a public hearing on June 16, 2014, reviewed the final plat and recommended that it be approved subject to the suspensive conditions of City Department Head approval and compliance with City code requirements;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF RUSTON, LOUISIANA:
