Funeral Services will be held at 5:30 pm, on Wednesday, January 1, 2014, at Pellerin Funeral Home in Breaux Bridge, for Revette Richard Breaux , 51, who passed away on Sunday, December 29, 2013, at Glenwood Regional Medical Center in West Monroe, LA. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Pellerin Funeral Home in Breaux Bridge from 11:30 am on Wednesday until time of service. Deacon Marcel "Butch" Hebert will officiate at the Funeral Service. Reading the scriptures will be Nicki Breaux and Renee Buckman. Mrs. Breaux enjoyed watching sports, especially LSU.

Janet Elizabeth Bear Wright

Funeral Service for Janet Elizabeth Bear Wright, 96 will be held 2:00 PM, December 31, 2013 at Owens Memorial Chapel. Officiating the service will be Rev. Rick Walters. Janet was born Janet Elizabeth Bear on May 11,1917 in Flannigan, Il. She was the daughter of Lawrence and Evelyn Bear, the fifth of six children. She graduated from Texas State College for Women and was trained as a dietitian at Johns Hopkins University. She then served as a hospital dietitian in the United States Army during World War II. She was stationed in England during the war, and in Germany during the occupation.

William “Dub” Brewster

Funeral services for William “Dub” Brewster, 86 of Ruston will be 2:00PM Monday, December 30, 2013 in the Chapel of Owens Memorial Funeral Home in Ruston with Rev. Michael Murray officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery. Mr. Brewster died Wednesday, December 25, 2013 in Ruston. Dub was a WWII Army veteran and had owned Cedarton Grocery from around 1950 until 1971. He then worked for the US postal service until his retirement. He was a member of the Rock Corner Baptist Church, also the Downsville Masonic Lodge # 143 and had served on the Lincoln Parish School Board. Mr.

Laverne K. Reeves

Laverne K. Reeves, a native of Ruston, long time resident of Evergreen Community, and recent resident of New Orleans, passed away on Saturday December 14th, 2013. She was 74 years old. Beloved wife of the late Charles D. Reeves of Bernice. Mother of Randall G. Reeves of New Orleans. Daughter of the late Selma Lann King and Otis J. King, Sr. of Ruston. Sister of Otis J. King, Jr. of Chesapeake, VA. and the late Nettie Lee Reeves of Bernice. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Edith Louise Trevillion

Funeral service for Edith Louise Trevillion, age 84, of Simsboro, LA will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, December 28, 2013 at Kilpatrick Funeral Home Chapel in Ruston, LA. Interment will follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Clay LA under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home in Ruston, LA. Mrs. Trevillion was born August 19, 1929 and passed away December 24, 2013. She was preceded in death by her children: Jack Anderson, Curtis Anderson, Joe Bennett, Ronnie Trevillion; one sister and several brothers.

Glynn Raymond Kennimer

Glynn Raymond Kennimer, age 76, of Houston, Texas, passed away on December 23, 2013.  He was a native of Choudrant, Louisiana; the son of Eck Columbus Kennimer and Elva Irene Brewster Kennimer.  Mr. Kennimer was a graduate of Simsboro High School and served in the United States Air Force.  He married Barbara Lee of Simsboro, Louisiana on January 18, 1958.   He retired from AT&T.  Funeral services for Mr. Kennimer will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, December 29, 2013, at Owens Memorial Chapel in Ruston; officiated by Rev. Jerry Whitman.

Mr. Elwyn Cecil Sparks

Funeral services for Mr. Elwyn Cecil Sparks, age 62 of Dubach, will be held 2:00PM Thursday, December 26, 2013 at Dubach United Pentecostal Church in Dubach. Officiating the service will be Rev. Linney G. Watson

Another one of America's greatest generation has passed beyond this veil to the next. He is in his uniform once again serving with all those friends, family and fellow soldiers' that went before him. Obviously, he is helping to make the way for us in the future. He was a fine Soldier, family man, and an honorable citizen who will be missed more than he ever knew. Linney G. Watson was born in Deep Gap, NC on September 26th 1918 and passed from this life in Fort Smith, AR on December 21, 2013. He was preceded in death by his wives: Ruth Hood and Ruby Watson; and son: Danny L. Watson.
