LAKE PROVIDENCE — Grambling Lab watched a one-point halftime lead slip away Friday as they fell 26-20 on the road to General Trass High School.
The Kittens are now 0-3 while General Trass climbed to 3-0.
“We led 14-13 at the half but let it get away from us in the second half,” Grambling Lab coach Johnny Thomas said. “We’re getting there — we’re close. We just have to put it all together before district (play) rolls around.”

That was surely one of the factors figuring into Sonny Dykes recently taking the University of California head coaching job.
But no way in the world that he’s not also wondering just what might have been had he waited about a week-to-10 days later in exiting from his three-year stay as the top coach at Louisiana Tech University.
Louisiana Tech will host its only exhibition game of the year when the Lady Techsters face Mississippi College today at 2 p.m. at the Thomas Assembly Center.
Admission is free.
Head coach Teresa Weatherspoon’s team returns six letterwinners — only one starter — from last year’s squad that posted a 17-15 record while reaching the championship game of the 2012 Western Athletic Conference Tournament before falling to Fresno State.
