Multiple appointments were made during Tuesday’s Lincoln Parish Police Jury meeting.
The agencies in need of representative approval were Waterworks District No. 3, Greater Ward One Waterworks District, the Lincoln Parish Fire Training Center Board and the Lincoln Parish Library Board of Control.
Ralph McVay was one of the two men set to be approved for his position on the Waterworks District No. 3. Randy Snow another incumbent on the board was unable to be present during the Tuesday meeting. McVay’s approval was unanimous by the jury.
Stephanie Finley, United States Attorney for the Western District of Louisiana, said it best in her speech prior to the honorees receiving their awards at the fourth Annual Martin Luther King Jr. Distinguished Leadership Awards Luncheon at Grambling State University.
“Leadership is something we need,” she said. “Leaders are those who inspire generations to come and fight for what they believe in.”
She addressed the 10 honorees at the luncheon and told them how valuable their contributions to the community are.
