The Ruston Parks and Recreation Department offers Yoga for Life at the McLane Recreation Center. Classes are held 8:30-9:30 a.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays. If residents prepay for the month the class is $4 per class. On a drop-in basis the class is $5 per class. Yoga for Life is taught by Donna Ponder. Ruston High School alumni, faculty and former faculty sang the school’s praises Friday during the annual RHS Alumni Association’s Awards Luncheon.
“How can you fail, going to Ruston High School? You can’t,” alumnus Dr. William Higgs told the approximately 150 people gathered for the event at Squire Creek Country Club.
Higgs was one of seven people – three teachers and four alumni – honored by the association as this year’s distinguished educators and graduates.
The Lincoln Parish Library, in conjunction with the Society of Human Resource Management at Louisiana Tech University, will host a resumé workshop at 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. on Saturday at the Lincoln Parish Library in the Lincoln Community Room.
Sarah Creekmore, the library’s administrative assistant, said this event is free and open to everyone in the community.
