Elise Noel Choate, of Arcadia, and Louis Gustave Reis IV were married at 6 p.m. May 27 at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Ruston.

Elise is the daughter of William and Nanette Choate, of Arcadia. She is the granddaughter of Willie Mae Whatley, of Arcadia, and the late Philemon J. Whatley and the late O.B. and Lottie Choate.

Louis is the son of Louis and Theresa Reis, of Ocoee, Fla. He is the grandson of Charles and Marie Tullier, of Baton Rouge, and the late Robert and Jerlene Reis.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a delicate white porcelain satin gown by Alfred Angelo of New York overlaid by a semi-cathedral length jacket of silk illusion with floral beaded lace motifs, which covered the entire jacket and was finished with a banding of scalloped lace.

The strapless empire bodice of the princess style gown was ornately enhanced with Alencon lace embellished with crystals and rocialles.

A single tier of scalloped fingertip length silk illusion, edged with dainty pearl beading served as the bridal veil, which was worn woven into her hair. She carried a simple bouquet of yellow and white roses.

Bridesmaids wore buttercup yellow floor-length gowns and carried matching nosegays. Julie Pequet, of Baton Rouge, served as maid of honor and Brandi Hartman, cousin of the bride, served as bridesmaid. Jon Reis, brother of the groom, served as best man. Michael Tullier stood up as groomsman.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held at Don Piatt Center of St. Thomas Aquinas Church.

The couple will reside in Ruston.
