‘Jam at Joe’ to have third run
Leader photo by O.K. DAVIS Nine of the 10 head coaches who will be involved in the third annual “Jam at the Joe” in late August gathered for a “team” shot following a press conference at Louisiana Tech University on Tuesday afternoon. They included (kneeling, from left) Phillip Deas, Shreveport Evangel; Ben Haddox,Cedar Creek; Shannon Brown, Jonesboro-Hodge; (standing, from left) Billy Laird, Ruston; Johnny Bachman, Shreveport Calvary Baptist; Stephen Geter, Shreveport Loyola Prep; Glen Kyle, Homer; David Franklin, Haynesville; and Joe Spatafora, Farmerville. Not shown: Randy Peters, Minden.

Even as the temperatures reached near triple digits, and the humidity was thicker than motor oil, football was in the “air” in Ruston Tuesday afternoon.

The “fall-like” mood can be attributed to a “Jam at the Joe” press conference heralding the third annual preseason gridiron extravaganza and set for Aug. 27 at Louisiana Tech University’s Aillet Stadium.
