Holloway, Roberson exchange vows in Mexico
Katie Lynn Holloway, of Ruston, and Jason Samuel Roberson, of West Monroe, were married in a sunset ceremony on April 21 at the Aventura Spa Palace Resort in Riviera Maya, Mexico.
Katie is the daughter of Ronnie and Debbie Holloway, of Ruston. She is the granddaughter of Mary Holloway Larance and the late William Clifton Holloway, of Ruston, and the late Billy and Patricia Holstead, of Monroe.
Jason is the son of Samuel and Frances Roberson, of West Monroe. He is the grandson of Buddy and Hazel Caldwell, of West Monroe, and the late Rufus and Phala Roberson, of Haile.
The bride wore a soft white strapless ruched organza A-line gown with a sweetheart neckline and floral embellishments of Swarovski crystals, pearls and sequins at the waist. She carried a
bouquet of ivory sweetheart roses, tied with silk ribbon.
The couple was accompanied by the groom’s parents.
A reception, hosted by the bride’s parents, was held at the Historic Fire Station in Ruston on May 14. Entertainment was provided by The Cicadas of Monroe.
A Pampered Chef shower was hosted by Kimberly Roberson, of West Monroe, on Feb. 12 and a fish fry in honor of the couple was hosted by Keith and Peggy Holloway, Kyle Holloway, Jim and Leigh Ann McCorkle, Susan McKee, Jon and Kassie Richardson, Sam and Frances Roberson and Stephanie White at the Lincoln Parish Park on April 2.
Katie graduated from Ruston High School in 2003. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in biomedical engineering from Louisiana Tech University in 2007 and an MBA from Louisiana State University in 2009.
She is employed as an environmental engineer for Conestoga-Rovers and Associates in Baton Rouge.
Jason is a 1996 graduate of West Monroe High School. He received a Bachelor of Science in 2001 and Master of Science degree in 2004, in cell and molecular biology, from Louisiana Tech University where he was also a member of the Louisiana Tech baseball team from 1997 to 2001. He is employed as the Louisiana branch manager of Alloy Products Corporation in St. Gabriel.
The couple will reside in Gonzales.
