Bullock, Lancaster marry in May
Jennifer Bullock, of Choudrant, and Will Lancaster, of Ruston, were married in a 6 p.m. ceremony May 7 at New Hope Baptist Church in Choudrant.
The Rev. Dwayne Monk officiated the ceremony.
Jennifer is the daughter of Patsy J. Bullock, of Choudrant, and the late Jerry M. Bullock. She is the granddaughter of the late Walter R. and Bessie Gay, of Kentwood, and the late Robert Clarence and Lena Bullock, of Choudrant.
Will is the son of Michael and Becky Lancaster, of Tallulah. He is the grandson of Beverly Lancaster, of Tallulah, and the late Edgar H. Lancaster Jr., of Tallulah, the late Charles J. Richmond, of Denham Springs, and the late Florence F. Richmond, of Plaquemine.
The bride was given in marriage by her nephew Matthew Bullock, of Choudrant. The bride wore an elegant A-line gown of ivory organza. The sweetheart bodice was encrusted with beaded scalloped lace that cascaded down past the waist and embellished the entire bottom of the skirt and was finished off with a cathedral train. The waist of the dress was highlighted by a beaded satin belt with a cluster of beadwork featuring Swarovski crystals and gemstones. Her look was completed with a fingertip length veil edged in a beaded lace. The bride carried a handtied bouquet wrapped with an ivory satin ribbon consisting of ivory French tulips, white freesia, lime dendrobian orchids, white peonies, hot pink nerine lilies, pink calla lilies and dark lavender stock.
Serving as maid of honor was Tracey Wade, of Ruston, and matron of honor was Shay Riser, of Downsville. Brooke Barringer, of Melbourne, Fla., Lori Gaubert, of Monroe, Heather Hemphill, of Monroe, and Loretta Lemoine, of Monroe, served as bridemaids.
They wore a knee-length, eggplant taffeta dress in various styles from Mori Lee. They each carried handtied bouquets of lime dendrobian orchids, dark lavender stock and hot pink gerber daisies.
Michael Lancaster, father of the groom, served as best man for the wedding. Brother of the groom Kris Lancaster, of Maurice, Daman Cox, of Atlanta, Ga., David Meier, of Ruston, Brad Reece, of The Woodlands, Texas, and Jamie Smith, of Calhoun, served as groomsmen during the ceremony.
Ushers were Chris Fournerat, of Baton Rouge, Wade Himel, of Ruston, Jason Laird, of El Dorado, Ark., and Barry Morales, of Ruston.
Mallory Bullock, niece of the bride, served as flower girl for the ceremony and Blake Bullock, nephew of the bride, served as the ring bearer.
The bride’s brother Randy Bullock, of Choudrant, read scripture for the ceremony. Music was provided by soloist Kristi Crowder, pianist Anita Murphy and organist Tina Allen.
Following the wedding ceremony, a reception was held at Ruston Country Club for the couple.
A rehearsal dinner was held for the couple at the Historic Fire Station in Ruston and was hosted by the parents of the groom.
The couple honeymooned in Hot Springs, Ark., and now reside in Ruston.
