Two Lincoln Parish lawmakers say the poor rankings they received on this year’s Louisiana Association of Business and Industry legislative session scorecard don’t matter much.
Rep. Rob Shadoin, R-Ruston, scored 44 percent, while Sen. Rick Gallot, D-Ruston, rated 24 percent. LABI, the state’s largest business lobby group, annually ranks lawmakers based on whether legislators voted with LABI’s position on a select number of bills.
“I’d hate to be graded as a legislator on five post-selected bills and use that as an effectiveness rating for me or any other legislator,” Shadoin said.
