GRAMBLING — With his team’s next opponent showing up Saturday at Robinson Stadium with an 18-game losing streak, you might think Grambling State University Head Coach Doug Williams would be doing cartwheels.
Williams and the Tigers’ staff are treating hapless Mississippi Valley State (0-7, 0-6) as if they’re sitting atop the Eastern Division standings of the Southwestern Athletic Conference.
I.A. Lewis inducted 47 outstanding students into the National Junior Honor Society on Jan. 11. These club participants not only have GPAs of 3.0 or better but also demonstrate the five characteristics of NJHS. The Stone Theatre and the Department of Theatre at Louisiana Tech University has announced the eight-member cast for “A…My Name is Alice,” which runs nightly at 7:30 p.m. on Oct. 27-31 and at 2 p.m. on Nov. 1.
Performances of “A…My Name is Alice” will take place in Stone Theatre located in Louisiana Tech’s Howard Center for the Performing Arts and will be directed by Cherrie Sciro, professor and coordinator of theatre at Louisiana Tech.
