Offutt, Gardner set to exchange vows Aug. 6

Monty and Kathy Offutt, of Madison, Ala., are pleased to announce the engagement and approaching wedding of their daughter, Sarah Elizabeth Offutt, of Madison, to Geoffrey Christopher Gardner, of Grapevine, Texas.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jim I. Morden, of Baton Rouge, and Mr. and Mrs. Ancel M. Offutt, of Mt. Ida, Ark.

Sarah is a 2006 alumna of Bob Jones High School. She earned a Bachelor of Science in 2010 and a Master of Architecture in 2011, both from Louisiana Tech University, where she was a member of the softball team.

The groom is the son of Garth and Sidney Gardner, of Grapevine, Texas. He is the grandson of Marion Courtney, of Brawley, the late Roy C. Courtney, John T. Gardner, of Scranton, Pa., and the late Joann Gardner.

Geoffrey is a 2003 alumna of Grapevine High School and in 2008 earned a Bachelor of Arts from Louisiana Tech University, where he was a member of the university’s chapter of Ducks Unlimited. While at the university, he also served as Pi Kappa Alpha vice president and as a football intern.

He is employed at Weatherford International.

The couple plan to marry in a 6 p.m. ceremony on Aug. 6 at Presbyterian Church of Ruston.
