Tanner, Holder exchange vows
Holly Amanda Tanner, of Ruston, and Daniel Chase Holder, of El Dorado, Ark., were married June 25 at New Sarepta Baptist Church in Sarepta.
Brother Chris Craig officiated the ceremony.
Holly is the daughter of Dr. Charles W. “Bill” Tanner and Donna Tanner. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Don Neal, of Sarepta, the late Dr. Charles W. Tanner and the late Callie Tanner.
The groom is the son of Larry and Dr. Brenda Holder. Daniel is the grandson of Francis Holder and the late J.W. Holder, of Junction City, Ark., Flo Jared and the late Mickey Jared, of Hot Springs, Ark.
The bride-elect was given in marriage by her parents. She wore a formal gown in ivory satin by Les Elegance collection. The halter style dress had intricate beading and crystals around the neckline, bodice and hemline. Delicate embroidery accented the front of the dress and hemline then continued down the train of the gown. A braided crystal headband was worn by the bride.
Holly carried a hand-tied bouquet of nosegay wrapped with ivory satin of orange roses, orange protea and accented with green and purple tracelium, along with peacock feathers.
Heather Tanner, sister of the bride, of Ruston, served as maid of honor. Amy Istre, of Downsville, and Breanna Holder, sister of the groom, of El Dorado, Ark. served as bridesmaids. Anna Grace Neal, of Sarepta, served as a junior bridesmaid.
They each wore a Malibu blue, tea-length chiffon dress in various styles.
Serving the groom as best man was Robert Harrison, of El Dorado, Ark. Larry Holder, of El Dorado, Ark., Devon Holder, of Little Rock, Ark., and Drey Holder, of Lake Charles, served as groomsmen.
Ushers were Carl Butler, of Ruston, and Seth Stamper, of Baton Rouge.
Kate Robertson and Shelby Holder served as flower girls for the ceremony.
Kathy Butler, of Ruston, and Carla Roundtree, of Ruston, were wedding coordinators.
Other participants during the ceremony were Heather Tanner, of Ruston, as a scripture reader and Colleen Butler, of Ruston, and Kirsti Roundtree, of Ruston, as book attendants.
Music for the wedding was provided by pianist Nelda Hines and by soloists Breanna and Brenda Holder.
A reception was held for the couple at the Family Center of New Sarepta Baptist Church. Serving at the reception were Tope Colvin and Melba Holley.
A rehearsal dinner was hosted by the groom’s parents on June 24 at Dorcheat Grill, in Minden.
Prior to the wedding the couple was honored with a few showers.
An engagement announcement dinner was held April 30 at the home of Jeb and Kathy Butler.
The Butlers along with Bill and Carla Roundtree and Dick and LeMoyne Christian hosted the shower.
On May 5 a household shower was held at Green Clinic Surgical Hospital. The shower was hosted by the employees of the hospital.
Another household shower was held May 15 at the home of Susie Leonard. Hostesses for the shower included Amy Neal, Susan Odom, J’Nell Sanderson, Pam Flowers and Susie Leonard.
Another household shower was held on June 11 at the home of Carolyn Neal. Hostesses were Ashley Neal and Tina Audrisch.
A girl’s night out bachelorette party was given by Lisa Smith, Mary Beth Walsh and Katherine Walker.
After a honeymoon in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, the couple will reside in Ruston.
