Growing attendance prompts change of venue for gathering
The first time Lincoln ACHIEVE presented the Community-Wide Back-to-School Bash, it drew 24 community booths and approximately 2,000 attendees.
By its fourth year in 2010, participation had doubled, with more than 50 booths and almost 4,000 attendees.
Because of its increasing numbers, it appears the annual gathering has outgrown its location at the Ruston Civic Center. Hence, it will be moved to the National Guard Armory, located at 3102 McDonald Ave., when it kicks off at 4:30 p.m. Aug. 25.
