Lincoln Parish schools’ curricula to change

Students attend class at Ruston High School

In a few years, classrooms in 26 states across the nation, including Louisiana, will all look pretty much the same. And, Lincoln Parish will be at the forefront of this move.

At the regularly scheduled Lincoln Parish School Board meeting earlier this month, Superintendent Danny Bell reported on a meeting he had recently attended out of state.

The meeting was part of an initiative that several states across the country have recently adopted, which is set to create a common core standard across participating states.
