The Lincoln Parish Sheriff’s Office is further investigating a report of an internal theft of the Wesley Chapel Water System.

On Tuesday, former system employee Sandra B. Lawson, 48, of 2350 Louisiana Highway 818, was arrested and charged with felony theft over $1,500 in connection with the case.

On Thursday, sheriff’s deputies reportedly served a search warrant at Wesley Chapel Water System, located at 256 Mondy Road in the southwest portion of the parish. LPSO Public Information Officer Maj. Stephen Williams said deputies arrived around 11 a.m. and worked for about two hours.
