Ruston Florist and Boutique, a family owned and operated business, has been serving the Ruston area for 35 years. In October of 2012, the business relocated to the old Salvation Army building, at 1103 Farmerville Highway. Having over 5,000-square foot-showroom, Debbie has created a department store, featuring women’s clothing and accessories, exquisite home décor, Bath & body products, Baby Boutique, Lamps, Bed Linens, Kitchen ware and much more. “It’s hard to believe, October, we will be here 3 years; and we are still growing,” Debbie said.

After more than 40 years of saving pennies, Ruston resident Otha Anders cashed in his collection Tuesday. The 15 five-gallon water jugs full of pennies equaled $5,136.40 — money Anders said he’ll use to help pay for recent dental work.
Officials at Ruston’s Origin Bank began scooping the pennies into an automatic coin counting machine just before 10 a.m. Tuesday. They finished at 2:45 p.m.
