Hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of potentially illegal goods are off the streets after an arrest made Thursday night at Knights Inn in Ruston.

Lincoln Parish Sheriff’s Office spokesman Maj. Stephen Williams said that an initial call about a welfare concern about a girl from Ouachita Parish resulted in the arrest of two people.

Charged with attempt to distribute illegal synthetic drugs are Maurice Chakiris Chatmon, 42, of Monroe, and Lisa Lewis Montgomery, 47.
