Five families in Ruston have been haunted by silence for several years as they wait for answers in the suspected murders of five residents.

The two most recent murder victims — Christopher Tillman and Kevin Foster, killed in 2008 and 2009 — have received the most attention from media and police sources. However, a visit to the Ruston Lincoln Crime Stoppers website will reveal three other names waiting for answers. The murder cases of Foster and Tillman, along with Tyrone Vereen, who died in 2004, Jonas Turner Kirkpatrick and Deanthony Mack, who both died in 2003, are still all listed on the Crime Stoppers website under the tab “Unsolved Crimes.”
