Those fortunate, “slim and trim” folks, due to some kind of incredible genes or heredity, can devour tons of those delectable goodies loaded with fat, cholesterol and starches and never gain an ounce. Me? Well, I can just look at such “palate pleasers” and put on five pounds. (Somehow, it doesn’t seem quite fair, does it?)

One of those born orators who, armed with no more than the barest outline (scratched, perhaps, on the back of a business card) can mount a podium with utmost confidence and deliver a speech that will curl your hair. I can’t help but wonder at such genius sometimes — especially during those moments when I’m mounting a podium, sweating profusely and carrying two armloads of notes and lengthy outlines, plus a couple of reference books tossed in for good measure.
