GRAMBLING — Paul Millsap had his own “Day” here Friday, but he also made the day for his high school alma mater.

The star forward of the Utah Jazz was honored with a “Paul Millsap Day” hosted by Grambling High School, where he earned All-American and All-State honors before going on to national acclaim at Louisiana Tech University.

Approximately 200 fans gave Millsap a standing ovation, cheered loudly and watched on as school officials presented the 6-8 and 250-pound five-year NBA veteran with several tokens of appreciation during a nearly two-hour banquet at Grambling State University’s Memorial Gymnasium.
