The Birthday Fellowship Club celebrated their 11th year anniversary in February and came together to celebrate Father’s Day. The Reunion, a musical for senior adults, by Frank and Anna Belle Nihart, was held recently.
The musical was presented by the Joy Singers of First Baptist Church, in DeRidder, at Cook Baptist Church in Ruston.
This musical was written by Frank and Anna Belle Nihart who were formerly at Cook ministering through music and worship. It has been very well received in several locations throughout the state to audiences totaling approximately 600 in attendance.
On Saturday, Troupe Dixie will host its Merry Movie Marathon at The Dixie Center for the Arts in downtown Ruston. This event will begin with a special family movie feature at 1 p.m. The Christmas classic “The Polar Express” will be shown, and free popcorn will be provided by Celebrity Theatres.
General admission tickets are $5 for both children and adults, and proceeds will benefit Junior Auxiliary of Ruston’s Christmas Clearinghouse program.
