The recent closure of Lincoln Center and Lincoln Parish Career Academy on July 5 was not only done illegally, but also overnight.

According to state law and Lincoln Parish School Board Policy (LPSB), any business transacted by the school board has to be on the published agenda. The closure of the alternative schools on July 5 was neither on the June 7, July 5 nor Aug. 2 agendas.
