LPSO deputy suspended
A patrol deputy with the Lincoln Parish Sheriff’s Office has been suspended without pay.
Sheriff Mike Stone said the suspension is a result of a formal complaint his office received from a citizen.
“This is an isolated incident that we are looking into that involved one of our private citizens and a traffic stop,” Stone said. “We’re still looking at the total picture, and everybody gets due process.”
Stone said the LPSO began its preliminary investigation when the complaint was received on Thursday, and the deputy was suspended on Monday. The suspension without pay is for an indefinite time period until the investigation is completed.
