Ten area teams ready to meet on Tech’s turf

Justin Miller is a 6-5 and 315-pound senior at Ruston High School who is among the top-ranked offensive linemen in the state and set to start at tackle Saturday when the Bearcats face Shreveport Loyola Prep in the third annual “Jam at the Joe” at Louisiana Tech University’s Joe Aillet Stadium.

At an early June press conference, David Franklin could have very well been speaking for all of the head coaches involved in Saturday’s “Jam at the Joe.”

Said the top boss at Haynesville High:

“We’re going to go over there to have fun, but we’re also going to use this time as an opportunity to see where we are as a team.”

The nine other head coaches for the biggest jamboree in the state will surely give a “thumbs up” to that statement.
