GRAMBLING — For the past two plus years, Grambling residents in the Mt. Olive area north of Interstate 20 have been waiting for work on a sewer project to begin, and after the Grambling Town Council meeting this month, it looks like a longer wait is in store.

The project has been on hold for numerous reasons, Walter Carpenter with Meyer, Meyer, Lacroix and Hixson engineering firm in Ruston said, including acquiring easements rights, a sewer rate study and a commitment from the town to finance the project.
