Dry weather affects landscapes

Still dry and each day it seems to get drier. While I was in the Dallas area last week I talked to the grounds keeper at the motel where we stayed. He said they had given up on most of their landscape and were no longer watering it. If they had drip irrigation they used it but no longer were they using sprinklers. The city was trying to save water. Several of their larger trees had died and had to be removed around the swimming pool and parking lots.
