School board discusses insurance, desegregation

Health insurance, construction and the desegregation case were all topics of discussion at Tuesday’s regularly scheduled meeting of the Lincoln Parish School Board.

After more than a year of study on the matter by the school system’s business department, the board voted unanimously — with the exception of Joe Mitcham and George Mack, who were both absent — to accept Blue Cross Blue Shield of Louisiana as the administrator for their self-funded health insurance plan.
