Lindsey Keith-Vincent, director of the Science and Technology Education Center and Office of Outreach and External Funding for Louisiana Tech University’s College of Education, has earned the Post-Secondary Educator of the Year Award for Region VIII from the Louisiana Association of Computer Using Educators.
Keith-Vincent received the honor with over 400 colleagues and educational leaders in attendance at this year’s LACUE Conference in New Orleans.
The Dollar General located on the North Service Road was the sight of an alleged armed robbery on Sunday.
Lt. Tim Parker said at approximately 3:15 p.m. a slight built, Hispanic man with light facial hair entered the store and proceeded to rob the cashier.
“The amount that the robber got away with is undetermined at this point,” he said. “The cashier reported to officials that the man raised his shirt showing the butt of a weapon and told the cashier to put the money in the bag.”
