Bullock, Thornton marry
Meg Ball Thornton, of Ruston, and Douglas Scott Bullock, of Elkhart Lake, Wis., exchanged marriage vows at 6 p.m. Aug. 13, in the Burkhalter Chapel of Trinity United Methodist Church in Ruston. The Rev. Brian Mercer officiated the ceremony.
Parents of the couple are Jim and Jane Ball, of Ruston, and Dennis Bullock and the late Sandra H. Bullock, of Bellevue, Mich.
Grandparents of the bride are the late Robert Lane and Margaret Rainwater Fuller, of Ruston, and the late Frank and Venita Ball, of Choudrant. Grandparents of the groom are the late Fred and Lillian Hieger, of St. Louis, Mo., and the late Dale and Glendola Bullock, of Monmouth, Iowa.
Music for the ceremony was provided by the Rev. Mickey Cloud, pianist, and Bill Carter, soloist. The bride was escorted by her father. She wore a ﬂoor length ivory chiffon gown and carried a bouquet of roses and hydrangeas. Molly Thornton, the bride’s daughter, served as maid of honor. She wore a chiffon gown and carried a bouquet of roses.
Chris Bullock, son of the groom, served as best man, and Dylan Bullock, son of the groom, served as groomsman. Brandon Ball, nephew of the bride, son of Robert and Alicia Ball, served as usher.
Meg is a graduate of Louisiana Tech University. Doug is a graduate of Troy University, in Troy, Ala., and is general manager of Georgia Paciﬁc Packaging in Sheboygan, Wis.
The reception was held at Squire Creek Country Club, in Choudrant, and featured the music of Bill and Nancy Wilson and Variety, of Monroe. The couple, along with their children, will make their home in Elkhart Lake, Wis.
