Rupert, Wall said 'I do'

Kristen Wall, of Simsboro, and Ryan Rupert of Houston, Texas, were married in a 6:30 p.m. ceremony Saturday at the First Baptist Church of Arcadia.
The ceremony was officiated by the bride’s father Dr. Wilton Wall.
The bride is the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Ray Wilton Wall III, of Quitman, and Dr. and Mrs. Michael Albert Teague, of Baton Rouge.
She is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Ray Wilton Wall Jr., Sallie Evelyn Monk, of Prairieville, the late James Edward Joiner and the late Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Ray.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Gregory Scott Rupert, of Houston, Texas. He is the grandson of William Rupert, of Houston, the late Miriam Rupert and the late Mr. and Mrs. Eric Kappler.
The bride was given in marriage by her father and wore an ivory, strapless, sweetheart fit and flare gown made of silk taffeta. The gown was ruched and adorned with hand-beaded lace applique. It had a pleated ruffle on one side with a hint of tulle for a unique twist, and it was complete with a chapel-length train. The bride completed her look with an ivory tulle chapel-length veil. She carried a bouquet of Chablis garden roses, blush florabunda roses accented with baby’s breath, along with underlay loops of ivory ribbon and tied together with dupioni silk.
Serving as honorary matron of honor was Ansley Stewart, of Ruston, and Lauren Townley, of Bossier City, served as matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Jordan Hughes, of Shreveport, Kelli Alexander, of Ruston, Sarah Watson, of Homer, Jessica Richey, of Pineville, K’Lanie Almond, of Minden, and Toni Sims, of Homer.
The bridesmaids wore a midnight blue halter full-length dupioni ruffle neck dress with a flat bow detail at the waistline. The bridesmaids carried a bouquet of flame calla lilies, leonidis, hearts garden roses, green berries, white freesia, grapevine and fall foliage tied with ivory dupioni silk.
Austin Rupert and Daniel Freer, both of Houston, served as best men. Groomsmen were Landon Braud, of Luling, Brad Wall, of Simsboro, Ben Wall, of Simsboro, Haden Wall, of Simsboro, Brady Bascle, of Houma, and Brandon Hudson, of Bossier City.
The bride’s niece Presley Wall, of Simsboro, served as the flower girl, and Richard Canterbury, of Simsboro, served as the ring bearer.
Gina Spatafore, of Slidell, served as the book and program attendant, and the bride’s cousin Lauren Clayborn, of Ruston, served as a scripture reader.
Music was provided by soloist and pianist Ariel Johnson, of Saline, organist Anne Gaushell, of Ruston, and soloist Larry McCartney, of Ruston.
Immediately following the ceremony, a wedding reception was held at the Lincoln Parish Library Events Center. The reception was catered by Aramark Catering and the Magnolia Band performed at the reception and wedding.
A rehearsal dinner was held in the couple’s honor on Friday at the Historic Firehouse in Ruston and was hosted by the groom’s parents.
Prior to the wedding, several showers were held for the couple.
On Aug. 20, a wedding shower was held at Columbia Café in Shreveport. Hostesses were her Phi Mu Sorority Sisters: Sarah Watson, Jessica Richey, Toni Sims, K’Lanie Almond, Noel Simmons and Tara Thibeau.
On Aug. 21, a wedding shower was held at Sweetwater Baptist Church in Quitman. The shower was hosted by Nancy Brooks, Karen Duck, Shelley Hill, Jill Menzina, Renee Pickens, Nancy Rogala, Shawn Burns, Lisha Edmiston, Amanda Koonce, Tanya Norred, Denise Pyles, Gayla Saulters and Donna Schimmel.
On Sept. 2, a home and garden couple’s shower was held at the home of Jimmy and Susie Leonard. The shower was hosted by Susie Leonard, Nancy Reeves, Nancy Giesse and Kathy Sims.
On Sept. 17, a lingerie shower was held in Dallas, Texas. The hostesses were her bridesmaids.
On Oct. 1, a kitchen, linen and bath shower was held at First National Bank in Arcadia. The hostesses were Tammie Rockett and Linda Dowling.
On Oct. 9, a wedding shower was held at First Baptist Church of Simsboro, which was hosted by the church.
After a honeymoon to the Isle of St. Lucia, the couple will reside in Edmond, Okla.
