The road to progress
Scores released earlier this month revealed that Lincoln Parish’s District Performance Score went up by 1.5 points from the 2009-10 school year to the 2010-11 school year. This was part of a historic score release that included the first year for schools to receive letter grades.
Simultaneously, according to information released by the Louisiana Department of Education, the school district dropped from a rank of No. 21 in the state during the 2009-10 school year to rank No. 23 — a rank the district shares with the Winn Parish School District — in the 2010-11 school year.
