‘Locked up’ for a good cause

Mary Gipson with the GSU purchasing department was booked into “jail” as part of the MDA Lock-up.

Several prominent community members were arrested and locked-up for “good” on Thursday, but it wasn’t for any crimes they committed.

The local chapter of the Muscular Dystrophy Association held their annual MDA Lock-up, during which close to dozens of local residents volunteered to be arrested and bailed out of jail.

Ruston Police and Fire departments and the Lincoln Parish Sheriff’s Office helped out by transporting the “jailbirds” to Jim Taylor Ford and picking up bail donations.
