Area fire departments had a busy afternoon Tuesday after sparks from a crew working set a group of old mobile homes on fire on Louisiana Highway 33, starting a more than three-hour battle with the flames.
Lincoln Parish Fire District spokesman Jim Hilton said the group of approximately seven old, abandoned mobile homes, located on a lot directly across from Scott’s Catfish on La. Highway 33, burned down.
“I think there used to be a mobile home dealer there, or something like that,” he said. “They were old, junk mobile homes.”
