What's it like traveling blind?

I am about to travel to Utah to visit family for the holidays. I always have a little bit of anxiety before traveling. This is not because I’m afraid to travel. I went on my first airplane ride by myself when I was 10. But when I started using a cane, strange things started to happen whenever I traveled. Many of my blind friends have some pretty crazy stories about traveling through airports with their canes. I haven’t had anything too traumatic, but I’ve certainly had my fair share of experiences.
