Jury to review proposal
The Lincoln Parish Police Jury and four of its committees are scheduled to meet on Tuesday evening.
One item of business on the agenda is the review of a woodwaste consultant proposal by Waggoner Engineering during the Solid Waste and Recycling Committee meeting, set for 5 p.m.
During last month’s meeting, committee members gave Parish Administrator Courtney Hall the OK to utilize a consultant to address the parish’s growing woodwaste problem. It was estimated that more than 10,000 tons of woodwaste — including branches, leaves and boards — had accumulated at the Lincoln Parish Landfill since jurors opted to stop having it incinerated and instead sought out more environmentally friendly options.
