Senior Circle presents quilts to veterans

The 2011 quilt recipients are pictured above. Pictured on the front row, from left to right, are Ernie Stevens, Bill Lee, Arvel Newsom, Virgil Orr, Jarrett Hudnall, Andrew Drost, Dan Fallin, Leo Cantrell, Eugene Barton, Mike Froelich and Lou Barber. On the back row, from left to right, are Myrtis Orr, Julie Mohr, Dorothy Drost,  Suzy Broussard, Karen Humphrey, Donna Small, Mayor Dan Hollingsworth and CEO of NLMC Brady Dubois.  

The first annual Senior Circle Quilters for America’s Heroes Presentation was held on Nov. 7 at Northern Louisiana Medical Center.  

The Senior Circle Quilters presented 11 local veterans with an heirloom quilt. After the presentation, a reception was held in their honor.    

It is the mission of this group to present these heirloom quality quilts once a year to local veterans.
