Fire safety, pigs, pumpkins spice things up
The LPECC has “Fall”en into another busy month. The students began October by learning about fire safety. Each class traveled to the fire station where the children were given a tour of the fire station, allowed to try on a fireman’s uniform and climb through the fire truck. The students’ favorite part of the field trip was getting to crawl out of the smoky house.
Many nature walks were taken in order for the children to collect, sort and measure fall leaves. Ms. Shannon’s class was shocked to discover that leaves float in water. They also discovered that it took up to three pennies to make a leaf sink.
