Ryan Allen has helped kick Louisiana Tech University into even moiré of the national spotlight with his Ray Guy Award as the top college punter in the country. The junior from Salem, Ore., was presented with the award at the nationally-televised ESPN-hosted Home Depot College Football Awards Show earlier this week.

Ryan Allen, who had begun his college career with the Beavers’ program before heading south, was announced on Thursday night as the recipient of the 2011 Ray Guy Award as the top college punter in the country.

The 6-2 and 215-pound junior was presented with a huge, sparkling trophy during the ESPN nationally-televised Home Depot College Football Awards show held at the Disney World Resort in Orlando, Fla.
