Louisiana Tech University sophomore guard Cordarius Johnson (15), who had a team-leading 19 points, makes a pass against McNeese State University senior guard-forward Patrick Richard in the Bulldogs’ 60-58 victory at the Thomas Assembly Center on Wednesday night. Richard had a double-double for the Cowboys with 19 points and 11 rebounds.

Only 10 games into his debut as head coach and Michael White has already helped put Louisiana Tech University’s basketball Bulldogs in the record book.

With nearly 2,500 fans watching on at the Thomas Assembly Center Wednesday night, Tech (5-5) held back a late rally from McNeese State (4-5) to take a 60-58 victory.

It was record-setting win No. 21 against a non-conference opponent at home for the Bulldogs, who will try and make it 22 in a row on Saturday with a 7 p.m. contest against the University of Arkansas-Little Rock on the Karl Malone Court.
